25/42 chamfers 1033 are each two in number. Figures 19 and 20 illustrate that the first chamfers 1032 and second chamfers 1033 can also be concave from any three of the top edge 104, the bottom edge 105, the left edge 106, and the right edge 107, and the first chamfers 1032 and the second chamfers 1033 are each three in number. Figure 21 illustrates that the first chamfers 1032 and the second chamfers 1033 can be concave from the top edge 104, the bottom edge 105, the left edge 106, and the right edge 107, and the first chamfers 1032 and the second chamfers 1033 are each four in number. 106, and the right edge 107, and the first holes 1035 and the second holes 1036 are each four in number. The shapes of the first holes 1035 and the second holes 1036 in the plane on which the display surface 101 is substantially located can be circular, semicircular, regular hexagonal, octagonal, rectangular, elliptical, triangular, etc. The shapes of the first hole 1035 and the second hole 1036 can be approximately the same, and shapes of the first hole 1035 and the second hole 1036 can be different. For example, Figure 39 illustrates that the shape of the first hole 1035 in the plane on which the display surface 101 is substantially located is circular and the shape of the second hole 1036 in the plane where the display surface 101 is substantially located is rectangular, or the shape of the first hole 1035 in the plane where the display surface 101 is substantially located is circular and the

Petition 870190079902, of 16/08/2019, p. 43/68
41/42 an empty space can be at least one hole defined in the display panel 10.
[00165] In one embodiment, at least one component of the electronic device 1000 is selected from the group that includes at least one camera, a receiver, a light sensor, a projector, a microphone, a speaker, a sensor of distance, an illuminator, and a combination of them. A number from at least one camera is two. In another mode, at least one camera includes two front cameras. One of the two front cameras is an infrared camera. The infrared camera includes an image sensor and an infrared filter. The light sensor is an ambient light sensor. The projector is a spot projector that includes a laser such as a vertical cavity surface emitting laser (VCSEL). The distance sensor is a proximity sensor. The illuminator is a flood illuminator that includes a laser such as a VCSEL.
[00166] In detail, the proximity sensor and the ambient light sensor help at least one camera to determine how much lighting is needed for the recognition of a face. The flood light produces infrared (IR) light, part of the electromagnetic spectrum invisible to an eye of the face, to illuminate the face. The spot projector produces more than 30,000 invisible IR light points to create a three-dimensional map (for area and depth) of a facial landscape of the face. The infrared camera captures images of dot patterns and reflected IR light from the face. Therefore, the infrared camera uses IR light to establish the presence of the face.
